Poets celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Studio@620

Tampa author Kenny Coogan will discuss and sign his new book, “Florida’s Carnivorous Plants: Understanding, Identifying, and Cultivating the State’s Native Species,” at noon Sept. 25 at Mojo Books & Records, 2540 E Fowler Ave., Tampa.

Author RJ Jacobs will discuss and sign his new mystery, “Always the First to Die,” at 3:30 pm Sept. 25 at the Oxford Exchange, 420 W Kennedy Blvd., Tampa. Tickets $5 for admission, $16.99 for admission and a signed copy of the paperback, at oxfordexchange.com/pages/calendar.

The Studio@620 celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month with readings by Hispanic poets Amaris Castillo, Silvia Curbelo, Yuly Restrepo Garcés, Gloria Muñoz, Ryan Riva and Natalie Scenters-Zapico, plus music, food and book sales by Tombolo Books, at 7 pm Sept. 27 at the studio, 620 First Ave. S, St. Petersburg.
