Posted on December 6, 2022

After a successful first night on Thursday in the Garden, the festival continues with the Big Band of the Money Makers for a Rock’n Roll night.

These free, friendly, happy and joyful meetings, in the garden of the Bishop’s Palace, are organized every Thursday evening in July in the town of Lavaur.

With a repertoire that oscillates between Jump Blues and Early Rock’n’Roll, sometimes passing through Swing or a rougher Blues, the Money Makers mark the spirits… Born in 2011, the Money Makers from on the meeting of Jean-Philippe Soler ( Billy Hornett), Damien Daigneau and Matthieu Gastaldi (The Flyin’Muffins) and their common love for the history of the blues.

In 2015, as their experience grew, they joined the brass section (baritone sax, two tenor sax and trumpet) which now accompanies them as much as possible under the name “The Money Makers Big Band”. Continuing to tour, and at the same time work on stage, they began to write an album of compositions that marked a shift towards a little Rock’n’Roll orientation but did not disappoint their public, especially more and more honest. . So it was the spring of 2019 and they released this new opus “No Secrets, No Lies”, composed only of original titles. Money Makers is a group from Tarn that has been developing for nine years, although covid destroyed last year, here they are back in the Big Band version. The quartet is now eight on stage, mixing the 50’s rhythm’n’blues and rock’n’roll sound and aesthetic with a decidedly contemporary writing. The Money Makers are perfectly suited to the current revival movement of this style of music. The evening is organized in compliance with health rules, with the wearing of a mask remaining mandatory.

Catering and refreshments are possible on site with a hunter’s menu organized by the local hunting society.
