This Sunday, July 19, at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, happened Money in the Bank 2021. For this first pay-per-view with the return of the public, we attended 7 fights including 5 with the titles returned to the game and, of course, the famous Money in the Bank matches. Champions who kept their belts while others lost them, MITB winners who surprised us, and a surprise at the end of the show: We Sport brings you the results tonight!
The Usos beat Dominik & Rey Mysterio (c)

This is the fight kick off, and the SmackDown champions, Dominik & Rey Mysterio, put their belts on the line against The Usos. At the end of the fight, Jey pulls Dominik to the outside, Rey is in the ring next to Jimmy. The latter, assisted by Jey, does a Roll Up on Rey and gets the three count. So The Usos became Tag Team Champions for the 7th time in their WWE career.
Nikki ASH won the Money in the Bank contract

The main show opened with the women’s Money in the Bank match. Eight women competed: Alexa Bliss, Asuka, Liv Morgan, Naomi, Natalya, Nikki ASH, Tamina and Zelina Vega. Many times we thought we found a winner. First, Zelina Vega was at the top of the ladder, but Alexa Bliss “crawled” her like she always does. So Vega comes back, Bliss has a clear path, but Natalya comes back. Zelina Vega then grabbed Natalya’s back while climbing the stairs. Vega is about to grab the briefcase, but Liv Morgan quickly arrives and stops her. Then, Bliss lands a Sister Abigail on Nikki ASH and climbs up top as well, but the Tag Team Champions arrive and knock her out of the ring. The participants therefore find themselves occupied outside of Bliss. Morgan takes advantage and goes up the ladder, but Tamina comes back to stop her. At the end of the meeting, 6 women found themselves scattered on 3 stairs and fighting among themselves, completely unaware of the purpose of the stipulation. The superhero Nikki ASH immediately took advantage of the opportunity to quickly climb the stairs and take the briefcase without the others noticing. So the former Nikki Cross can challenge the champion of her choice whenever she wants.
AJ Styles & Omos (c) defeated The Viking Raiders

Late in the fight, the Raiders did their Viking Experience on Styles when Omos was on the outside. Ivar pinned Styles, but Omos pushed Erik into Ivar which broke the referee’s count. Omos tags in, then double chokeslams Erik for the three count. The champions of the red show therefore kept their belts.
Bobby Lashley (c) defeated Kofi Kingston

A one-sided game, so one wonders if it is worthwhile. In the early part of the match, the bell rang and Lashley beat down Kingtson who was able to hold back. However, throughout the fight, the champion prevailed. Kingston couldn’t land any shots, any hold, he only managed a small counter. In just 7 minutes, Lashley literally destroyed Kofi Kingtson. The referee was forced to ring the bell, the latter becoming unresponsive after Bobby Lashley’s Hurt Lock. One wonders who will trust the champion to come and dethrone him.
Charlotte Flair defeated Rhea Ripley (c)

That was the third pay per view series where the two women faced each other for the title of RAW champion. And it’s good for Charlotte Flair. At the end of the fight, the latter started attacking the leg of the champion. In fact, he blocked him between the iron steps and the post, then knocked on it. He then followed up with his Figure Eight Leglock and was able to stop Ripley. So Charlotte became the new champion of the red show.
Big E became Mr. Money in the Bank

Few predicted it, but Big E managed to surprise everyone, like Nikki ASH during the women’s MITB. For this men’s Money in the Bank, 8 men competed: Big E, Drew McIntyre, John Morrison, Kevin Owens, Ricochet, Riddle, Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura. During the fight, McIntyre cleaned the ring and as he was climbing the ladder Veer & Shanky approached him. Jinder Mahal then came in and chair-butted the former WWE Champion. The three men took the latter backstage. At the end of the match, Nakamura was climbing, but Morrison sprayed him, knocking him out. Owens then comes to knock John down and rushes back up the ladder, but Rollins Powerbombs him and throws him to the outside. The latter is at the top of the ladder, ready to grab the briefcase, but Big E comes back and gives him the Big Ending from the top of the ladder. He came back and won the contract. Big E thus became the new Mr. Money in the Bank.
Roman Reigns (c) defeated Edge

For the Main Event of the night, the Universal champion, Roman Reigns, defended his title against the x-ranked superstar, Edge. During the fight, the referee fell and left the ring, favoring Reigns who used a piece of the chair against his opponent. The Usos then wanted to break up the fight, but Dominik and Rey Mysterio arrived to stop them. Then, Seth Rollins came twice to intervene in favor of the champion. As Edge did his last Spear, the referee took the time to come back from the locker room to count. Rollins then came in again to distract him, allowing Reigns to land a Spear on his opponent and get the three count. After the encounter, Rollins attacked Edge again, then confronted the perennial champion Roman Reigns. Edge gets up and attacks Rollins. Both men brawl in the audience while Reigns stays in the ring. That’s when the entrance music that everyone knows sounds: that of the 16-time world champion, John Cena. He immediately got into the ring and did his famous “You can’t see me” to the champ. He then celebrates with the audience, and the show ends like this. Undoubtedly, the universal title is now coveted by John Cena, but probably also by Seth Rollins.
It was an amazing show where the public expected a comeback, and it did not disappoint. Both MITB winners will surprise us. The match between Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair was great, both women didn’t give gifts and that’s what was expected of them. The surprise Main Event made the crowd happy, even though they wanted to see the Hall of Famer, Edge, walk away with the belt.
