The IEEE SMU Student Branch and the IEEE Sup’Com Student Branch, in collaboration with the GIZ Digital Transformation Program, brought together more than 300 students, engineers, startups and environmental enthusiasts in a unique event in Tunisia: the Metaverse Tunisian Summit!
This event, which took place in 3 days, aims to raise awareness and upgrade Tunisian skills in new Metaverse technologies, such as Augmented Reality, Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality or even Blockchain and NFT.
Participants attended panels and keynotes, visited exhibition stands and participated in technical workshops and a hackathon with international coaches and speakers.
It should be noted that this activity is supported by the Special Initiative Training and Employment – Investing for Jobs of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ Tunisia through its Digital Transformation program, as part of the IA HUB. Hosted by The Dot, the AI Hub supports the development of Tunisia’s national AI strategy.
