Bridge between two worlds – Meta (ex-Facebook) wants to offer something concrete to future users of the virtual world, to sell its metaverse. The company opens a physical store that attracts its visitors.
Meta announced in a post on April 25, 2022, the opening of a retail store in BurlingameCalif., on May 9, 2022. This outlet will be specifically located on the company’s campus.
It allows future users of the metaverse of Meta, to have a concrete idea of what this virtual world has to offer. The Meta Store also has a feature products that allow access to the metaverse :

The store offers interactive demonstrations of Meta products, such as virtual reality headsets, video communication screens, and smart glasses:

The walls of the Meta Store will feature a curved LED display. It shows what users see in the virtual reality headset.
Meta Store is also a market research tool for the company. Store manager Martin Gilliard said the belly button will give the company:
“more opportunities to experiment and keep the customer experience at the center of our development”.
The insights gained will help Meta define its “future retail strategy”.
