Released in 2004 by Fuji TV, Run for the Money became a reality game show for 18 years that captivated Japanese people of all ages. Inspired by the traditional “onigokko”, the Japanese tag game, this popular show full of thrills has become the model of survival games in Japan. In 2009, the show won Best Game or Quiz Program at the Asian Television Awards. In 2010, he was nominated in the Unscripted Entertainment category at the International Emmy Awards. The series found success after airing in Japan and other Asian countries.
