The duo No Money Kids consisting of singer-guitarist Félix Matschulat and bassist, arranger and sampler Jean Marc Pelatan.
A musical crush
“We met in a recording studio, in the Paris region. The agreement was good, a musical and friendly thunder happened”, confirmed the singer-guitarist.
It’s on a rock and electro-blues universe they take us on board, with The Kills, Beck or Black Kids as inspiration. “They took back the blues of the 1930s and modernized it,” explains Félix.
After releasing their 4th album titled factory, No Money Kids is on tour and in concert Friday, May 20 at 8:30 pm, at La Fabrik in Bois-d’Arcy. “We have a real desire to find and record our sounds, in the factory for example. We are always looking for inspiration. On May 30, we will present our latest album, our machine. But we quickly realized that some titles cannot be rejected. We created a best on stage,” revealed Félix.
“It’s good to see the public again”
The title Brothers and sisters from the last album factory echoed for the guitarist singer. “It deals with a double subject: I am talking about civil rights and a relationship between a brother, conflict and brotherhood. »
The Scrapbook factory designed before and during incarceration. “I asked myself a lot of questions during this time about the place of the artists, which was considered unnecessary. But when I was on stage the questions disappeared. We were looking for the public well, without masks and standing,” said the artist.
The sharing continued, and the Money Kids duo didn’t stop there. “We are already working on the 5th album,” he warned.
